Rupert the English Pointer

and I’d like to introduce you to a very handsome English pointer called Rupert.

He is an avid runner with a sensitive, loving soul. He’s addicted to chasing pheasant and has a tendency to help himself to whatever is on the kitchen counter. An excitable character led on many an adventure by his nose!

Thank you to my friend Katherine for introducing us! This digital painting was the result of an 8 hour meditation on his beautiful face. I was particularly mesmerized by his amber eyes which seem themselves to be entranced by something, perhaps he has just spotted a pheasant out of the window!
