HOW IT WORKS
STEP 1
Say hello to by clicking the ‘commission inquiry’ form button and tell me a little about your commission vision!
We can then have a friendly chat exploring this in more depth, discussing the story of the subject in question, identifying the key, meaningful elements to incorporate in your painting. We also talk about the medium, size and finish of your artwork, thinking about its intended location.
Do not worry if you’re not sure - I make it a really easy, fun process and will help guide you!
STEP 2
Next, I provide you a quote and a 30% deposit is requested to secure the commission booking.
Reference images are discussed and decided. I have some helpful, clear instructions that walk you through how to take the perfect image!
If logistically feasible we can also arrange for me to come and take photos.
STEP 3
I get going and send you a mock-up sketch of the painting to check you are happy with the basic elements before progressing.
Updates are sent, and changes accommodated as we go.
An Image of your completed painting is sent for final approval and finishing / framing options are discussed and decided.
The final artwork is sent to you by tracked delivery. I will also provide an mp4 video time-lapse of your painting showing how it was painted.

What are your prices and payment structure?
The price of a commission boils down to 3 main things:
The level of detail and complexity of the commission
The medium you choose – I offer two choices: oil painting or digital painting
Size, finish and delivery destination of the artwork.
All commissions are individually quoted for according to your choice of these options.
A 30% deposit is required at the start to secure your commission booking with balance due upon completion.
As a brief illustration, prices for a small, simple, framed digital painting start around £300 / approx. $423 / €350 . Prices for a small, simple, framed, oil painting start around £600 / approx. $846 / €700. These prices include tracked UK delivery.

What is the difference between oil painting and digital painting?
Oil paintings:
Use physical paint, canvas and brushes
Are more labour intensive and require longer to paint – typically around 3 months
Have a rich textural surface finish
Are more expensive than digital paintings
Digital paintings:
Use a pressure sensitive stylus and tablet with digital paint, canvas and brushes on a computer
Are less restricted by physical limitations and can be produces faster, typically around 1-2 weeks
Can be professionally printed as a high quality art print rich in colour and surface quality
Are less expensive than oil paintings

How do I display a digital painting?
Digital paintings can either be viewed as a high-resolution digital file and/or professionally printed and framed.
Finishing options as follows:
A simple, unframed/ unmounted print
A framed print without mount
A framed print with mount
With a choice of 3 different frame options: white, natural wood and black
